The Biddy Basketball International Tournament took place this past weekend and early this week throughout Lafourche Parish gyms. The event featured tournaments for U8, U10 and U12 girls, and teams from as far as Finland ascended to Lafourche to compete in the prestigious annual event.

Guest speaker, WNBA star and LSU legend Temeka Johnson poses for a quick shot with members of the Kenner U10 and U12 teams. Johnson’s speech was a hit with the children.

Dustan and Leah Adams, of Galliano, housed two Finnish girls during their stay in the area. The family’s son, D.J. (at right), poses with his two adopted sisters for the week.
