Ramey was a multi-year starring guard for the Lady Tarpons’ girls1 basketball team – one of the top teams in the area for each of the past several years, She was a guard and a forward. She often was one of the team’s leading rebounding threats, despite bar smaller stature.

Ramey was one of South Lafourche’s scoring leaders but a. but her impact was beyond the star sheet She was a leading rebounder. defender, shot maker and all-around player for a team which made the Class 4A State Semifinals.

People will always remember Traya Bruce and Victorianna Nelson down the bayou in South Lafourche. Those two ladies were superstar players But without Harney Messer doing a lot of the dirty work, those Lady Tarpons teams might not have made it as far as may did. Messer was an awesome player for South Lafourche over the past several seasons. She did a little bit of everything to help her team win*.
