Busy offseason?

Was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays with starter Jeremy Hellickson going to Arizona in return.

Favorite ice cream flavor:

I’m a cookie dough kind of guy. That’s always been one of my favorites.

Most thrilling sports moment to date:

This past season, I hit my first walk-off home run as a professional baseball player. The thrill of hitting it and running around the bases was just awesome. I knew as soon as I hit it, it was gone. And it came during the stretch run when we really needed a win. That was awesome, and that’s a feeling that I’m never going to forget.

Credentials:

Pay no mind to the jersey he is wearing in the photo. He’s traded that bright red uniform for another color this offseason. But whether an Arizona Diamondback or a Tampa Bay Ray, one thing is for sure – Justin Williams can flat-out hit. The Houma native made history a few summers ago when he was a Second-Round pick in the MLB Draft. He then signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks and enjoyed two huge minor league seasons for the D-Backs, hitting well above .300 in each campaign. His success made Williams a hotly sought after commodity that the Rays snatched up in a trade this past summer for pitcher Jeremy Hellickson.

Away from the field, Williams likes to hunt, fish and spend time with his family and friends.
