Christopher Duplantis

SOUTH TERREBONNE HIGH • FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL

Name: Chris Duplantis

Height: 6’0″

Weight: 175

School: I attend South Terrebonne High School.

Grade: I’m a senior. I am graduating in May.

Sports: I was a starting quarterback and defensive back for our football team and a starting guard for our basketball team.

Strengths: Leadership skills, toughness, experience and ability to extend plays with his legs.

Best high school memory: We have had a lot here at South Terrebonne. Last season was magical, winning all of those games and making it so far in the playoffs. This past year, I think the way we finished the year was great, being able to beat Ellender in a close battle. There are so many things that I’m going to remember. I can’t pinpoint just one thing.

High point of 2015 season: Duplantis and the Gators offense made a huge mark against their biggest rivals last fall. South Terrebonne beat the Patriots 50-46, extending the school’s lengthy winning streak over the longtime foes. Duplantis threw a long touchdown pass in the win.

What do his coach says?

“He is a good leader. He’s played a lot of football here, and we trust him in any situation.”

– Richard Curlin

Credentials: No matter the sport, South Terrebonne senior Chris Duplantis will battle you until the end. A multi-year starter on the Gators football team, Duplantis played defense early in his career before shifting to quarterback as a senior. The 6-foot athlete is also a starting guard on South Terrebonne’s boys’ basketball team, and is one of the leading players in the Gators’ lineup.
