Ava has started as a freshman for two sports at South Lafourche High School. She was a stalling outside hi tier on a Lady Tarpons volleyball team that made the State Tournament She’s now a starting combo guard and trig-time performer for a girls’ basketball team that has eyes on a repeat trip to the Top 28.
STATS:
Ava is one of the leading scorers an the Lady Tarpons’ team with her ability to extend the floor behind the 3-point line. She’s also a capable slasher who can score in the paint.
GOALS:
“To try and do the beet that I can tor my team to try and get us as far into the playoffs we can go.”
WORKING ON:
Fundamentals, passing, footwork, ball handling.
STRENGTHS;
Ava is versatile. She’s one of the better offensive and defensive players on the South Lafourche team She’s also a clutch, tog-time shot maker.
CREDENTIALS:
The score was tied on Friday night between South Lafourche and Assumption. It was the fourth quarter. And freshman Ava Pitre came through with arguably the moat difficult shot of the game. Ava made a huge 3-pointer to break the tie and give control of the game back to South Lafourche-another in a huge string of successes for the freshman who is a multi-sport standout.
