BRONZE: South Lafourche halfback Corbin Allen – The Tarpons lost on Friday at Bastrop, but it wasn’t because of a lack of effort from Allen. The sophomore halfback had 130 yards rushing in the first half alone, using his strong, powerful style to challenge the Rams defense. He ended the game nearing 200 all purpose yards, setting the stage for what may be a great junior season.

SILVER: E.D. White’s offensive line – It would be easy to give all of the glory to the E.D. White halfbacks and skill players after the team’s win against Loyola. But with more than 300 yards rushing and three players who either had or flirted with 100 yards rushing, some love has to go to the Cardinals’ big, physical offensive line.

GOLD: Vandebilt Catholic halfback Brennan Rogers – Rogers was an absolute mule for Vandebilt on Friday night in the opening round of the Division II State Playoffs. The physical back rushed 34 times for 238 yards and three touchdowns to help guide the Terriers into the next round of the playoffs. Rogers is only a sophomore. He is going to be one of the leading bell cows in the Houma-Thibodaux area for the next two seasons.
