Raphael P. “RAY” Collins, 77, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018. He was a native of Dulac LA and a resident of Houma. LA

Raphael is survived by his wife of 23 years, Laura Cecile Courteaux Collins; sons, John Solet and companion, Julie Arhend, Ronnie Cunningham, and Kenneth and wife, Cursarah Tyler; daughters, Angel and husband, Darnell Smith, Kelly, and husband, John De Coursey; brothers, Gerald, Kimple and Aloysius Collins; sisters, Sylvia Collins, Elaine Christoffersen, and Sonja Babin; grandchildren, India, Bre and Ava Smith, Nevaeh Cunningham, Lorelie and John James “J.J” Solet, Tyler and Brandon DeCoursey, and Kenneth Tyler Jr. and Kimberly Tyler; and two great-grandchildren, Keegan and Keeston Smith.


Raphael was a salesman in the Oilfield Industry. He loved hunting, fishing and enjoyed cooking He also loved to spend time with his many friends and family.

The family would like to extend heartfelt and special thanks to Dr. Mark Walker and Haydel Memorial Hospice.
