Roy Anthony Vicknair, Jr., 78, a native of New Orleans, La., resident of LaPlace, La., and former resident of Houma, La., died at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015.

Mr. Vicknair was a parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. He retired in 1999 from KHOM/KTIB after 40 years in radio broadcasting. He was a former member of the Jaycees, Kiwanis Club, Better Business Bureau, and a lector-commentator and council member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. He was a part-time videographer. His passion was taking family photos and videos.

Mr. Vicknair is survived by his wife, Linda Ann Waguespack Vicknair; daughters, Ann (Leonard “Len”) Summers, Judy Howie and Diane (Alfred) Espenan; brothers, Raymond (Bonnie) and Edward (Ruby) Vicknair; sister, Clare (Joseph) Bernard; four grandchildren; and one great-grandaughter.


Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
