1. THIBODAUX: After beating Central Lafourche by 49 points, we don’t think there is any doubt: The Tigers are the best team in the Houma-Thibodaux area. The battle now is whether or not the Tigers can triumph over Hahnville, Destrehan and East St. John – all teams loaded with talent and college-bound players.

2. VANDEBILT: The Terriers didn’t play their best this past week against South Terrebonne, but they were plenty good enough to get the win, which is all that matters. Vandebilt will have a huge game with South Lafourche on Friday – one which may decide the outcome of the District7-4A chase.

3. CENTRAL LAFOURCHE: The Trojans are in a danger zone right now, folks. They’ve lost two-straight games and are about to face all three River Parish schools. That’s not good. The Trojans have to get themselves right in a hurry or this losing streak may last for quite a while.

4. SOUTH LAFOURCHE: The Tarpons finally played a school their own size on Friday night – and it showed. The Tarpons crushed Morgan City, scoring in all three phases to roll to a dominant 59-0 victory. Next up is a huge showdown with Vandebilt.

5. CCA: The Lions survived Caleb Seitz’s injury and stayed afloat. Now, with the quarterback scheduled to be back, CCA can get back to its perch near the top of the pecking order in Division IV.
