Vinis Luma Gisclair Sr. 84, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Galliano, La., died on Monday, June 5, 2017.
Mr. Gisclair was an avid carpenter and loved woodworking and teaching at South Lafourche Vo-Tech School. He made the best wooden rockers money could buy.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gisclair; sons, Tate (Janelle) and Marty (Claudette) Gisclair; step-children, Wayne (Myra), Audrey and Joseph St. Pierre, Antoinette Bruce, Lillian (Jody) Chaisson and Stephanie (Reese) Angeron; sisters, Lovenia Eymard, Lorina Griffin and Rita Cheramie; 10 grandchildren and 24 step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and 28 step-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Burial is at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
