Walt Robert Prejean, age 55, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 10:54 a.m. He was a native and a resident of Houma.

Walt is survived by his wife, Nancy Gallop Flaspohler; children, Lauren P. Ledet and husband, Jason, Sarah M. Ogden and husband, Jason, and Richard A. Flaspohler; brothers, Jon E. Prejean and wife, Sandi, and Jace A. Prejean and wife, Carolyn; sister, Pam P. Guidry and husband, Dr. Bruce Guidry; grandchildren, Rachel, Jaxson, Aria and Aurora; nieces and nephews, Nancy Claire, Scott, Elisa, Melanie, Christopher, Stacy and Michael; and former wife, Emily Theriot.

Walt retired from the Terrebonne Parish School Board after 33 years of services. He enjoyed playing drums, barbequing and watching sports. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association. A special thanks is being expressed to family, friends and co-workers who loved and supported him through his battle with ALS.
