Dentistry from the Heart

Patients who can’t afford dental care elsewhere will have an opportunity to be seen by a dentist in Lockport.


Crescent Dental in Lockport is hosting its 2nd Annual Dentistry from the Heart event between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.

Several dental professionals will be available to provide dental exams, fillings, cleanings and extractions to people who can’t afford the treatments elsewhere. Crescent Dental asks that only those who truly need the service and cannot afford it come.

Patients are encouraged to arrive early. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. and patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Friends of the Terrebonne Public Library will host their annual Spelling Bee on Saturday at the Main Library beginning at 9 a.m.

First through second-graders begin competition at 9 a.m., third through fourth-graders start competing at 11 a.m., and fifth through sixth-graders start spelling at 1 p.m.

Open competition for all ages, including high schoolers and adults, begins at 3 p.m.


First through sixth-graders must pay $1 to compete and high schoolers and adults must pay $2.
