Terrebonne High School cheerleaders and student council members will be collecting items for flooding victims in Baton Rouge and the north shore during the school’s volleyball jamboree on Thursday. The school is asking for canned goods, cleaning supplies, toiletries, infant needs and non-perishables. The jamboree starts at 4 p.m. at the THS gym.
Local accepts position as college soccer coach
Vandebilt Catholic graduate Meghan Philp announced this week that she is now an assistant girls’ soccer coach at Catawba College.
Philp got the job after a decorated playing career at Belmont Abbey.
It will be her first time coaching at the college level.
She said she’s excited for the opportunity.
