Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre is accepting applications for the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association annual scholarship.
The $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school student who attends Nicholls State University, L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College, or South Central Louisiana Technical College. Applications are available at www.LPSO.net/scholarship.
NSU Signing Day celebration set for noon today
New Nicholls coach Tim Rebowe will announce the members of Nicholls’ 2015 recruiting class at a lunchtime press conference at the Century Club in John L. Guidry Stadium.
The press conference will begin at noon, and Rebowe will provide commentary and video highlights of all of Nicholls’ signees. The event is open to the public and light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Terrebonne General Medical Center has been designated a Level One Hospital WellSpot by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals for making an impactful commitment to wellness in the community and state.
TGMC earned the designation by meeting all of the requirements of multiple wellness initiatives that promote a healthier place for the community.
