Robertson commits to Louisiana Tech University

National Signing Day is today.

But one local player has already announced where he’s going to be attending college for the next several years.

Thibodaux High School star Amik Robertson announced on Monday morning that he is signing with Louisiana Tech – a school he was committed to for a lot of the 2016 prep football season.

Robertson is a 3-star defensive back, and he decommitted from the Bulldogs a few weeks ago to explore other options.

The Tigers standout also had offers from LSU, Texas and several other Power 5 programs.

He said he picked the Bulldogs because of the ability to play right away and also because of the family-like feel that the program’s players and coaches present to him.

Robertson will be one of the highest rated Bulldogs in the 2017 Signing Class.
