Santa parade to roll in Raceland

Children will rejoice to see Santa parade through Raceland on Sunday, Dec. 6.


The Lafourche Fire District #1 Volunteers are hosting the parade, which will begin at 112 St. Philip St. at 6 p.m. and travel south along La. Highway 1 until it reaches the Lafourche Central Market.

Santa will light the Christmas Tree at 6:30 p.m..

Holiday drive-in at T’bonne library


The Children’s Department at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library will host a “Drive In” Holiday Camp Dec. 22 at 2 p.m., during which children can decorate cardboard box cars and watch a holiday movie.

Refreshments will be offered.

Space is limited and registration is open now.

LPS0 seeking bike donations

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office is still accepting donations for its annual Christmas Bicycle Giveaway


Residents can donate money or bikes to the giveaway Sheriff Craig Webre asks that any bikes donated either be brand new or in need of only minor repairs.

Anyone who would like to submit a child’s name for a bike should call (985) 632-8836. Requests are limited to no more than two bicycles per family
