Terrebonne General Medical Center has named Wanda Woods as its November Employee of the Month.
Woods works nights as a Certified Nursing Assistant on the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit and has been a team member at TGMC for 23 years.
TGMC names its Employee of the Month each month in an effort to recognize outstanding employees.
Winners demonstrate outstanding and constant commitment to the well-being of patients, their extended families and staff.
Woods earns the honor from her co-workers because of her dedication, work ethic and positive attitude.
She is described by her co-workers as possessing a ‘can-do’ attitude, while always wearing a smile.
TGMC says Woods can always be counted on to pick up shifts when necessary and she’s credited by going above and beyond on a regular basis to help out.
When told of the honor, Wanda said she “knows her job,” then added that she “loves connecting with people every day. Sitting and holding hands with a patient who is taking their last breath makes me a stronger person and I am glad I am able to help in whatever way I can.”
