Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 282,434. That’s 3,103 more cases since yesterday. 259,903 are confirmed; 22,531 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 30 new deaths, bringing the total to 6,994 deaths. 6,664 are confirmed; 330 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 12/14/20 is 232,725, which is 14,795 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting 5,638 cases. There are 4,973 confirmed and 665 probable. That’s 51 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 158 deaths; 151 are confirmed and 7 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 3-Dec. 9 is 10.0.0%, up 16.3% from the week prior, which was 8.60%.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 5,350 cases. There are 4,911 confirmed and 439 probable. That’s 51 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 143 deaths; 137 are confirmed and 6 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 3-Dec. 9 is 7.90%, up 8.20% from the week prior, which was 7.40%. Total recovered is 3,764 as of 11/25/20.

 

Statewide, there are 1,547 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 179 are on ventilators. That’s 55 fewer patients since yesterday, and 10 more on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 4,075,599, which is 32,606 more tests than yesterday. There are 3,902,983 molecular tests and 172,616 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 73,728 tests in Lafourche (69,244 molecular and 4,484 antigen) and 71,116 tests in Terrebonne (68,127 molecular and 2,989 antigen). That’s 604 more tests in Lafourche and 615 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
