Gulf Coast Social Services Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting | January 5 at 12 p.m. | 723 Point Street, Houma– Guld Coast Social Services Houma Region purchased the building in 2021, then Hurricane Ida struck, devastating the region. After two years of repairs, they are finally able to re-open their doors.


Cajun Dance Lessons | January 5 from 6 – 8 p.m. | Terrebonne Folklife Culture Center, Houma– Cajun Dance Lessons return with more classes this January! Classes will be limited to 20 couples, so be sure to register ahead of time. Call (985) 873-6408 with any questions or to register for an upcoming class.

Xtreme Athletix Grand Opening and Showcase Performance | January 6 at 11 a.m. | 1410 Valhi Blvd., Houma– Offering vendors, craft booths, kids activities, a cook-off, corn hole tournament, and showcase performances, the day will have something for everyone. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under, kids under 2 are free.

8 Seconds to Glory Champion Bull Riding | January 6 from 7 – 10 p.m. Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center– Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming Thibodaux Regional Cancer Institute 8 Seconds to Glory Champion Bull Riding Event! The event will host more than thirty professional bull riders from all over the country, including states such as Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama. Several local bull riders from Louisiana will be highlighted in the event as well. Tickets for the upcoming 8 Seconds to Glory Champion Bull Riding event can now be purchased here.
