Authorities find $53,000 worth of drugs, make arrests

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man it believes opened credit card accounts in other people’s names without their permission.
Beginning in October, Lafourche detectives started investigating multiple cases involving someone attempting to open credit card accounts, while using other people’s personal information.
Through the investigation, detectives developed Brent Poiencot, 40, as a suspect, obtaining a search warrant for his residence on Renee Drive in Thibodaux.
During a search of the residence, authorities found evidence of alleged identity theft, thus obtaining a warrant for his arrest on four charges of identity theft.
Poiencot is still at large.

Tips which lead to an arrest could net a $1,000 reward.
