Thibodaux teen escapes from Bridge City Youth Center

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking for the public’s help in locating 17-year-old Blaze Crochet, of Thibodaux. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office was made aware of an incident where a local teen escaped from the Bridge City Youth Center, in New Orleans, where he was remanded on Probation Violation related charges.

LPSO Detectives Investigating Incident with a Toy Gun Pointed at a Deputy

At around 1:30 a.m. on June 10, an off-duty deputy pulled into the parking lot at the LPSO Criminal Operations Center in Lockport, and the truck followed. The truck stopped in the parking lot, and a passenger exited and pointed a gun at the deputy’s vehicle before leaving the area. Deputies identified the occupants of the truck as three teenage males. They also located three gel blaster guns painted to appear as real firearms.

Agents Cite Houma Woman for Oyster Harvesting Violations

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited a Houma woman for alleged oyster harvesting violations on May 24 in Terrebonne Parish. Agents cited Santa Carbajal, 55, for violating oyster logbook and refrigeration sanitation requirements.

Houma man arrested on weapons, drug charges after allegedly threatening a driver with a firearm

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Houma man in connection with a motor vehicle incident, which ended in an innocent driver being threatened with a firearm.  Devan John Dasch, 31, was arrested on numerous felony related offenses for his involvement in the incident.

Teenage parents charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder of six week old infant

After a local hospital reported a six week old infant had suffered from life threatening injuries at the hands of the parents, HPD arrested Jemi Kenny, 18 year old female, and a 16 year old male. Both suspects were taken into custody and charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder and incarcerated.

Houma man arrested on Attempted Arson charges

On May 27th, TPSO Patrol Division was called to an address in the 200 block of Ja Don Drive, after reports of a disturbance surfaced. When Deputies arrived, the caller told Deputies that Hunter Lirette was attempting to intentionally set fire to the residence using lighter fluid. After an investigation, deputies arrested Lirette on charges of Attempted Aggravated Arson, and additional outstanding warrants not related to the incident.

CANCELLED – Level II and Endangered/Missing Child Advisory

Louisiana State Police has issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory on behalf of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office for 8-month-old Phil Baker. Baker was last seen on Tuesday May 28, 2024 around 3:00 a.m. at the intersection of Belle Pointe Blvd and US 61 in Laplace, La. when he was abducted by Donnell Hyams.
