A 27-year-old Houma woman was arrested this weekend for allegedly breaking into a vehicle, then being found in possession of methamphetamine.


On July 20, at approximately 10:50 a.m., the Houma Police Department responded to a vehicle burglary call in the 1100 block of Church Street. With the assistance of witnesses, the suspect was located and identified as Nikkita Allen, 27. She was taken into custody without incident.

During investigation, Allen was found to be in possession of methamphetamine as she was searched at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.

She was also found to be in possession of a glass pipe used for smoking illegal narcotics.


Allen is charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine, simple burglary and taking contraband into a penal institution.
