Congratulations to local Houma 4-year-old Eliana Allemand, for recently being crowned Little Miss Miracle Beauty 2023 at the Miracle Beauties Pageant in New Orleans this past weekend! This was Eliana’s very first pageant.

The Miracle Beauties Pageant is a pageant offered for young girls in Louisiana with special needs. “Miracle Beauties Pageant is stress-free and created for our Beauties to enjoy their time to shine,” reads a quote from the Miracle Beauties Pageant. While there are still winners in the pageant, every participant receives a trophy and a tiara.

“We found out about this pageant through contacts with the Miracle League in New Orleans, and our good friend Erica Lambert– whose sons participate in the Terrebonne Parish Miracle League as well– suggested we register Eliana for the event,” explained Tiffany Allemand, Eliana’s mother. “It was such an awesome day for us and Eliana. 45 younger and older girls with disabilities, ranging from ages 4 to 42, were able to participate and have a blast.”

Allemand said that since everyone received a crown and a sash, she did not expect there to be a traditional winner– and was shocked when they announced Eliana was named Little Miss Miracle Beauty 2023.

“When you have a child with special needs, they typically can’t participate in as much,” said Allemand. “But I am so grateful that Eliana was born in an era where we have so many advocates for children with special needs. She will never know what it’s like to miss out on a beauty pageant, or a softball game, or a swim meet– because we have people who came before us who are setting these opportunities for our kids. It brings me so much joy to see these kids participate and have fun.”

Congratulations, Eliana!
