Fletcher Technical Community College hosted a graduation ceremony yesterday, for eight graduates in its ninth cohort Certified Line Worker Training Program.

Friends, family, faculty, and staff gathered in the atrium at Fletcher’s main campus for the ceremony, which featured guest speaker Rocklin Vedros, Safety Manager at Entergy Louisiana. Vedros discussed line workers safety with the help of a former Fletcher line worker instructor. All eight graduates have secured a position in the line worker field prior to graduation.

Fletcher’s Certified Line Worker Training Program provides the necessary foundation for students to begin a career in line working as a helper/apprentice for an electric utility company. The 2022 graduates have obtained NCCER Certification, are qualified for employment as a line helper, and received job placement assistance.

Fletcher is accepting applications for its upcoming Certified Line Worker Training Program. The 22 week course will begin in July and includes CDL training.

Applications for admissions can be completed here. For more information on the Certified Line Worker Training Program, visit Fletcher Technical Community College here.
