Low-income families n earning $48,000 or less annually n can receive free basic tax service beginning this month at the Larose Branch Library.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is available by appointment only from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.


Participants should bring photo identification, a Social Security card for each member in the household, proof of income and W-2 forms.
