February 18, 2010Chaisson named TRMC’s chief of medical staff
Internal medicine physician Dr. Gregory Chaisson has been named Thibodaux Regional Medical Center’s chief of staff. He succeeds outgoing chief Dr. Bart Denys.
Chaisson earned his doctor of medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his internship and residency at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge. Chaisson is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and serves on the Governor’s Medical Advisory Committee for the State of Louisiana. He also volunteers as one of the team physicians for the Nicholls State University football team.
Chaisson is in private practice in Thibodaux with Drs. Chester Boudreaux and James Soignet.
Also named to TRMC’s medical executive committee are Drs. Henry Peltier (vice chief of staff), James Ellis (secretary-treasurer) and, members-at-large, Drs. Andrew Hoffmann and John Bloss.
Synergy Banks names new VP, new assistant VP
Gerald Thibodaux and Sarah “Sallie” Preston have been named, respectively, Synergy Bank’s vice president and assistant vice president.
Thibodaux joined Synergy in December 2005 as an accounting manager. Most recently, he served as operations officer. As such, he was responsible for overseeing Synergy’s accounting, deposit operations and electronic banking areas.
A CPA, Landry earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business from Nicholls State University. He resides in Thibodaux with his wife, Cheryl, and their two daughters.
Meanwhile, Preston joined Synergy Bank in March 2008 as the bank’s human resources director. She has over 38 years’ experience in human resources, with the last eight years being in banking. Preston is a certified professional in her field; an active member of the National Society for Human Resources Management, and the local Bayou SHRM chapter.
