Lafourche Council to discuss saltwater control structure

The Lafourche Parish Council is having a special meeting on Wednesday at 5 p.m. to discuss construction of the Bayou Lafourche Saltwater Control Structure.


The state of Louisiana awarded the Bayou Lafourche Fresh Water District $4 million for the project’s construction cost.

Blue Cliff graduates this weekend

The Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center is hosting a Blue Cliff College graduation ceremony on Friday. The event is scheduled to go on all day and will be in Hall B of the civic center.


The technical school’s Houma campus is one of five Blue Cliff locations in Louisiana. The event is scheduled to go on all day and will be in Hall B of the civic center.

Valentine’s concert at St. John’s

St. John’s Episcopal Church will host a Valentine’s Day concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday.


The Mobile, Ala., guitar duo Roman Street will be performing their jazz fusion tunes from 3-4:30 p.m.
