Agnes D. Matherne, 88, a native of Des Allemands, La., and a resident of Poplarville, Miss., died Monday, June 8.
She is survived by her son, Kliner W. Matherne and wife Carol; sisters, Laura Owens of Des Allemands and Marie Needham of Livingston, Texas; three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucien Matherne; parents, Horace Dufrene and Celima Matherne Dufrene; brothers, Alfred and Alec Dufrene; and sisters, Alice, Hilda and Aggie.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La., with a graveside service to follow at Matherne Cemetery in Bayou Blue, La.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
