Albert “Mule” Francis Ledet, 72, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:25 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011.

Mr. Ledet was a delivery driver for Borden’s and Le Fleur Dairy Products. He was a coach and manager for both men and women softball teams. He could be found at the VFW for bingo and was an avid fan of the Saints and LSU football teams He loved The Swamp People (Troy Landry) but his greatest joy was his children and grandchildren. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.


He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Earline Ledet; children, Antoinette (Warren Sr.) Bonvillain, Jessie (Nick) Dakroub, Fran Tribeanc, Tammy Dupre, John and Floyd Carrere, Randy, Sandy and David Trosclair and Charles Tribe; sisters, Theresa Arceneaux and Elizabeth Dupre; brother, Joseph (Pat) Ledet; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurelie and Hildred Ledet; and sister, Christina Ledet.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
