Annie Mae Broussard, 89, a native of Franklin, La., and a resident of Berwick, La., passed away at Patterson Healthcare Unit surrounded by her family Friday, Oct. 16.

Annie is survived by two sons, Shelton Broussard and wife Barbara of Morgan City, La., and Glenn Broussard of Berwick; two brothers, Rivers Breaux and wife Mable of Franklin, and Percy Breaux and wife Evon of Lafayette, La.; four grandchildren, Glenn Broussard Jr. and wife Vicki of Bayou Vista, La., Denise Doherty and husband Bobby of Ponchatoula, La., Melissa Hebert and husband Bryan of Denham Springs, La., and Dewayne Broussard and wife Arika of Berwick; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.


Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Broussard; parents, Emile and Angeline Breaux; three brothers, Lennis Breaux, E.J. Breaux and Sidney Breaux; one sister, Eunice Fournet; and one great-grandchild, Devin Doherty.

Annie Mae was a wonderful mother and grandmother to her children and will always be remembered as such. Annie will be truly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, Oct. 19, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Berwick. Annie was laid to rest at the Berwick Cemetery.
