Barry “BR” Ruffin, 39, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Oct. 14.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Picou Ruffin; one son, Tamaj Ruffin of Lafayette, La.; one daughter, Ashton Charles of Houma; three brothers, Charlie Ruffin Sr. and wife Patricia, Jerry Ruffin and Elvin Ruffin and wife Sandra, all of Houma; and one sister, Ann R. Antione and husband Nester of Houma.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Ruffin; and one daughter, Rita Ruffin.
He was Baptist. He was employed by Mike’s Steakhouse.
The funeral service was Saturday, Oct. 17, at Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home. Burial was at St. Luke Cemetery.
