Houma museum takes flight with new display

Betty Ann Glover Gillespie, 70, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Denham Springs, La., died Sunday, April 11, 2010.
Ms. Gillespie was a retired nurse from Chabert Medical Center. She was a past member of the Krewe of Hyacinthians, a past member of the Steel Magnolias and past member of the Red Hat Society. She volunteered at the Council on Aging in Denham Springs. She enjoyed line dancing, music, reading and traveling. She was also a member of the COA book club and the Denham Springs Eagle’s Club.
She is survived by sons, Ricky (Myra) Hammonds and Mark (Donia) Gillespie; daughter, Kim (Ricky) Robichaux; three grandchildren; brother, Johnny Glover; and sister, Phala Glover LaCoste.
Ms. Gillespie is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
