Bonnie Marie Bergeron Guidry, 69, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, August 5, 2007, at 7:10 a.m.


She is survived by her husband, Ulysses Guidry Sr.; her mother, Anna May Leonard Bergeron Dupre; one son, Ulysse Guidry Jr. and his wife Terry; three daughters, Phyllis Babin and her husband Raymond, Deborah Hurst and her husband Oscar “Jimmy”, and Cindy Gouner and her husband Robert “Mike”; two brothers, Jerry Bergeron and his wife Nancy and David Bergeron and his wife Debbie; two sisters, Susan Beeson and her husband Royce and Sally Logaglio and her husband Philippe; 10 grandchildren, James Babin and his wife Beth, Laura Babin, Katherine Gouner, Steven Gouner, Ashley, Paul, Phillip, Amanda, Patrick and Allison Guidry; one step-grandchild, Jill Hurst; and one great-grandchild, Emma Babin.


She was preceded in death by her father, Ivy Bergeron.

Bonnie was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bayou Black. She was a loving wife for 52 years to her husband Ulysses. She was secretary/treasurer with Guidry Electric Contractors Inc. She was a past catechism teacher, docent at Southdown Museum, Quilting Clubs, St. Anthony Ladies Altar Society, pastoral council at St. Anthony for 23 years and Eucharistic minister.

Visitation is Tuesday, August 7, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and Wednesday, August 8, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral to follow at St. Anthony Catholic Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
