Bryan Charles Belanger, 60, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, April 14, 2010.


He is by his wife of 41 years, Cheryl Chauvin Belanger; son, Chief Petty Officer Bryan Jr. (Mary) Belanger; two grandchildren; his parents, Raymond and Vivian Levron Belanger, brothers, Clark (Sandra) and Doyle (Debra) Belanger; sisters, Debra (Byron) Domangue and Deidre “Dee Dee” (David) Hemstreet; and a host of family and friends.


In his final days, Mr. Belanger was surrounded by family, friends, and the caring and loving staff in the Critical Care Unit at Terrebonne General Medical Center.

He was employed by Universal Iron Works in the Fabrication Department for Unico Metal Buildings. He was an entrepreneur at heart, having owned and operated two companies, Coastal Provision Company, which was an offshore service company and Not Just Po-Boys, where he served his specialty the “Cajun Mutzie.

Mr. Belanger was a U.S. Army Veteran.
