Carroll “Boy” Ayo, 65, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6:45 a.m.
He is survived by one son, Ronald Ayo and wife Lisa; three daughters, Garnet Glynn and husband Bobby, Tammy Phillips and husband Sgt. William “Billy” Phillips, and Wendy Thibodeaux and husband Jeremy “J.T.”; two brothers, L. Samuel Jr. and Micheal Ayo; four sisters, Ethel Boudreaux, Myrtle Rieves, Barbara Chaisson and Carmen Boudreaux; and 11 grandchildren, Brent Thibodeaux, Ryan Cenac, Justin Lopez, Brittany Phillips, Bradley Ayo, Clayton Cenac, Hunter Ayo, Kaegan Glynn, Brook Thibodeaux, Zachary Ayo and Lexus Thibodeaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lezin Sr. and Myrtle Jackson Ayo; one brother, Ronald John Ayo; and one sister, Joan Ayo Babin.
He was a retired Sergeant with the Houma Police Department.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. A military service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Mass of Christian Burial to follow.
