Charles R. Williams Jr., 60, a native of Fort Smith, Ark., and resident of Amelia, La., died Monday, August 8, 2011.


Mr. Williams retired from the ABC Bait Co. Maintenance after over 22 years of dedication. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a hard worker, who loved the land. He was a member of the Bayou Chene Land Mark Baptist Church in Amelia.

He is survived by his wife, Irma Falgout Williams; sons, Gregory (Celeste), Nathan (Heidi) and Carey Williams; daughter, Hannah Williams; brothers, Billy (Mary) and Harold ‘Bobby’ (Judy) Williams; sister, Mona Darcey; stepmother, Rosalie Dupuy; stepbrothers, Ronald and Herman Charpentier; stepsister, Pam Charpentier; five grandchildren, Cassa, Joseph, Olivia, Alexander and Cheyenne Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Williams Sr. and Mildred Rebecca Flannagan Williams Topham; grandparents; one brother, Larry Don Williams; and one stepbrother, Brad Charpentier.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
