Christine Thomas Sparks, 79, a resident of Shriever, La. died Thursday, May 24, 2007.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas “Tim” Hinton and wife Karen, and Ivy M. Hinton, Jr. and wife Susan; two daughters, Maxine LaPlume and husband Leo, JoAnn Christl and husband Ken, one brother, Melvin Thomas; one sister, Joretta Simms, twelve grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ivy M. Hinton, Sr. and her second husband, Wayne Sparks; her parents Hubert M. and Hattie Thomas; one infant son; and two brothers, W.T. Thomas and Daniel Thomas.
Christine was a member of Schriever Baptist Mission Church. She retired from Marine Systems, Inc. as their office manager and bookkeeper.
She will be buried in Judson, Cemetery in Cayuga, Texas on June 2, 2007 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Shriever Baptist Mission Church.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in Charge of the arrangements.
