David Joseph Ollis Sr., 42, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Chauvin, La., died Monday, February 16, at 9:11 a.m.
He is survived by his son, David A. Ollis; daughters, Danielle Ollis, Amanda O. George and Nicole Ollis; sisters, Mary Fanguy, Anna Landry, Constance O. Parfait, Michelle Hotard, Hope Maynard and Elizabeth Charpentier; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Jamie J. Dupre, Katrina Bonvillain, Anthony E. Duthu Jr., Tamara L. Duthu, Kathryn G. Landry, Rebecca L. Landry, Harvey J. P. Landry, Octavia R. Parfait, Jolene M. Thomas, Nicklaus M. Eschete, Stanely N. Hotard III, Paul T. Hotard, John D. Maynard II, Jessica M. Maynard, Verna E. Billiot and Lani A. Charpentier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Newton Ollis and Verna Marie Barras Ollis; son, David J. Ollis Jr.; brother, Harvey Ollis; and his godson, Joshua J. Landry.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, February 19, at Samart Funeral Home in Bayou Blue, La., with the funeral services to follow.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
