Dominic Anthony “Neak” Hanzy, 16, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Gibson, La., died Sunday, Oct. 4.
He is survived by his parents, Fredrick Anthony Hanzy and Julie Ann Bennett; one brother, Troy Lee Traylor Jr.; one sister, Fraleisha Angelica Hanzy Robertson; and grandmothers, Leola Allen Hanzy and Agusta Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jessie Hanzy and Alex Garrett.
He was a Baptist and a member of New Vision Family Worship Center. He was a student at H.L. Bourgeois High School.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Community Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at New Vision Family Worship Center. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday with burial to follow at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
