Ecton “Hec” Joseph Theriot Sr., 87, a native of Lockport, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, April 16, 2014.
Mr. Theriot was the former Lockport Police Chief and a private first class in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Nobby Theriot; son, Ecton Theriot Jr.; daughters, Elainna Whitlock and Jaynel Pierce; sister, Delsie Pertuit; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Theriot; parents, Acy and Elena Theriot; brother, Wilton Theriot; and sister, Elsie Theriot.
Burial is at Holy Savior Church Cemetery in Lockport. (Samart)
