Gasper Gus Varvaro, 87, a native of St. Rose, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 13.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Austin Varvaro; one son, Stephen and wife Linda Varvaro; one daughter, Susan and husband Donald Carlos; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Angelo and Frances Viola Varvaro; two brothers, Joseph and Raymond Varvaro; and two sisters, Rose Barocca and Anna Livaudais.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Thibodaux Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
