George Profit Sr., 75, a native of Slaughter, La., and a resident of Chauvin, La., died Sunday, Oct. 11.
He is survived by his companion, Delores Holiday of Chauvin; two sons, George Profit and wife Youvet of Pasadena, Calif., and Elliot Profit and wife Das of Chauvin; three step-children, Joyce Hartman and Betty Jean Jenkins of Houma, La., and Huey P. Holiday and wife Terry of Raceland, La.; one brother, Johnnie Louis Profit and wife Mildred of Slaughter; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaish Profit Sr. and Rosa Jane Wallace Profit; three brothers, Howard, Isaish Jr. and Jimmy Lee Profit; and two grandchildren, Nielia and Ariel Profit.
He retired from L. Trahan Trucking Company of Houma.
The funeral service was Monday, Oct. 19, at New Philadelphia Baptist Church in Slaughter with burial at the church cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
