Gil Degeyter, 47, a native of New Iberia, La. and a resident of St. Francisville, La. died Wednesday, November 7, 2007.
He is survived by his parents, Paul Degeyter, Sr. and Mathilda Broussard; his stepmother, Mary Degeyter; two brothers, Paul Degeyter, Jr. and Rory Degeyter; and one sister, Honorena Degeyter.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Curiac and Corinne Degeyter and Soleil and Alma Broussard; and one stepbrother, Clifton Gonzales.
Gil was a devout Catholic.
Visitation is Friday, November 9, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, La. He will be buried in Holy Savoir Catholic Church Cemetery in Lockport, La.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
