Gladys Marie Guidry Pellegrin, 86, a native of Pointe-aux-Chene, La., and resident of Chauvin, La., died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014.
Mrs. Pellegrin was a devout parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church in Bourg, La. She was a woman of faith, devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and a true believer in the resurrection of life. Her children were taught the importance of education, faith and hard work. She enjoyed praying the rosary, reading, gardening and sewing.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Dufresne, Patricia (Louis) Theriot, Crystal (Jim) Murphy, Jenny (Ivan Jr.) Authement and Peggy (Sal) Alongi; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oris and Alice Guidry; husband, Luby Pellegrin; son, Larry Pellegrin; and brothers, Lauris and Mervin Guidry.
Entombment is at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Chauvin. (Falgout)
