Houma museum takes flight with new display
April 22, 2010Gordon Shelton Wheeler, 50, of Blackshear, Ga., died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at the Satilla Regional Medical Center, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Wheeler was a self-employed dry wall sub-contractor and loved his job. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren, family outings, cooking and his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Collins Wheeler; daughters, Margaret Snow, Sarah Keefe and Yolanda (Dwayne) Lancaster; son, Phillip (Michelle) Snow; his father and step-mother, Glenn and Bobbie Wheeler; his mother, Evelina Martin Robinett; brothers, Glenn (Noi) and Jeffery (Melanie) Wheeler and Ricky Bergeron; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
