Houma museum takes flight with new display
April 22, 2010Harvey J. Henry Sr., 71, a native and resident of Houma, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010.
Mr. Henry was a member of Bayou Blue Assembly of God where he served on the deacon board. He worked for Texaco for 38 years, until retiring in 1996. His hobbies included playing horseshoes and music.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lorita Hebert Henry; children, Kathy (Jeffery) Ellis, Peggy (Nathan) Matherne, Harvey “Buddy” (Cheryl) Henry Jr., Tommy (Marleen) Henry, Melanie Martin, Rebecca (Kevin) Theriot and Holly (Chad) Coffman; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Willis (Juliet) Henry Jr.; and sister, Betty (Elray) Gary.
He is buried at Rogers Cemetery in Houma.
