Huey P. Collins, 78, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Galliano, La., died Thursday, June 19, 2014.
Mr. Collins was the retired owner of Golden Meadow Oil Company, treasurer of the Rotary Club, president of Cheramie Cemetery and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 427.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Collins; sons, Nicky (Lou) and Timmy (Melinda) Collins; daughters, Pam Collins and Rachel (John) Klopp; sisters, Virgis Cheramie, Melva Collins and Dorita Camardelle; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nat Sr. and Augustine Collins; brother, Nat Collins Jr.; and sister, Juanita Polkey.
Burial is at Cheramie Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
