James “Sticky” Williams Jr., 74, a native of Morgan City, La., and a resident of Berwick, La., died Friday, Sept. 4, at 11:05 p.m. following a short illness.


He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 49 years, Florence Parsons Williams; two daughters, Celeste Williams (Joseph) and Carmen Robinson (Clarence), all of Berwick; one son, James A. (Diana) Williams of Franklin, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Yvonne) Wilson of Morgan City, Geneviene Greene and Mrs. Cornelius (Birdie) Mills, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two special nieces; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of which he cared deeply for.


He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.

James dedicated 34 years of service to Schlumberger Oilfield.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Berwick with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Berwick Cemetery.

Jones Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
