Joyce Marie Plaisance, 78, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Thursday, April 15, 2010.
Mrs. Plaisance was a parishioner of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church and a member of Catholic Daughters. She taught catechism as a young lady, she was a volunteer at the St. Mary food bank and she was an avid gardener.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert A. Plaisance; four children, Teresa A. Havens, Jane Torres, Christine Lamb and John Plaisance; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Tony Chiasson; and sisters, Margette Falgout and Lillian Johnson.
She is buried at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church Cemetery.
