Julia Josephine Marie Blanchard, 83, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, January 11, 2008, at 9:25 a.m.
She is survived by one daughter, Chris Ashley; one brother, Gus Marie Sr.; one grandchild, Trinity Jude Collins; and one great-grandchild, Daelyn Jude Collins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Blanchard; her parents, Joseph Marie and Cecile Domangue Marie; four brothers, Morris Marie, Oris Marie, Norris Marie and Oneil Marie Sr.; and three sisters, Oneilia M. King, Ezar Dupre and Winona Voisin.
Julia was a homemaker and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She was buried in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
